Uno de los lugares más icónicos de la Costa del Sol, Civitas Puerto Banús, albergará uno de los eventos sociales y deportivos del año. La E1 Series, denominada como la Fórmula 1 eléctrica del mar. Un nuevo deporte aprobado por la Unión Internacional de Motonáutica y que unirá la Costa del Sol con otros puntos como Mónaco, Venecia, Jeddah (ahí fue la prueba inaugural de las Series con gran éxito), Hong Kong o Ginebra.
Los días 1 y 2 de junio reunirán a diez equipos esponsorizados por nombres tan rutilantes como Rafael Nadal, Mark Anthony, Steve Aoki, Didier Drogba o Steve Aoki. Se ha preparado una tribuna para unos 3.000 espectadores y se estima que en fin de semana alrededor de 20.000 personas vendrán expresamente para el evento. Habrá zona VIP y un Village y zona comercial. Todo al más puro estilo de la Fórmula Uno. Será un buen impacto de imagen y turístico para la Costa del Sol.
Cada equipo estará formado por un hombre y una mujer, con embarcaciones idénticas y pilotos profesionales. El modelo de embarcación es la RaceBird, que puede alcanzar los 90 km/h, con sus 7,5 metros de eslora. Cuenta con una potencia de 150 kw y una batería de 35 kwh. Primará más la habilidad de los pilotos que la velocidad pura.
El E1 Cívitas Puerto Banús Grand Prix se presenta como el evento sostenible con mayor proyección de 2024, al ser libre de emisiones CO2 y apostando por la generación de energía eléctrica, carga con hidrógeno, packagings biodegradables, botellas libres de plástico, trofeos reciclables, política de ahorro en comida y logística sostenible.
Al margen de las carreras se han programados otros actos y hasta un concierto de Mark Anthony para el viernes 31 de mayo, en la zona de la Feria de San Pedro Alcántara. La competición tendrá unas pruebas clasificatorias para el día 1 y se coronará el día 2 con las semifinales y final. Cuatro barcos se jugarán el título en la última carrera en aguas de Marbella.
La prueba llega a Puerto Banús gracias al apoyo de la Junta de Andalucía, Ayuntamiento de Marbella, Diputación de Málaga y Mancomunidad de Municipios de Costa del Sol Occidental.

The competition will have qualifying rounds for day 1 and will culminate on day 2 with the semifinals and final. Four boats will compete for the title in the final race in the waters of Marbella.
The event comes to Puerto Banús thanks to the support of the Andalusian Regional Government, Marbella City Council, Malaga Provincial Government, and the Association of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol.
