Casino Marbella reinforces the success of the Sportium Sixers Poker Series
Casino Marbella once again positioned itself at the heart of the national poker scene with the second stop of the Sportium Sixers Poker Series, held from April 21 to 26. Over six intense days of competition, the casino brought together players from across the country, consolidating this event as one of the most prominent fixtures in Spain’s professional poker calendar, thanks to its unique six-handed table format.
Throughout the week, the casino’s facilities were once again transformed into a high-level competitive stage, offering a wide range of tournaments designed for all types of players. The festival recorded more than 1,250 total entries, reflecting the strong reception of the event and the growing interest it generates with each edition.
The Main Event was once again the highlight of the festival, featuring multiple starting days and different formats that encouraged high participation, reaching 427 entries—far surpassing the figure from the 2025 edition. After several days of intense competition, the top players advanced to the final stages of the tournament, which concluded on Sunday with the awarding of the iconic SIXERS trophy, bringing an exciting and strategic week to a close.
Alongside the main event, the festival included a diverse lineup of side tournaments, notably the High Roller with 129 entries, as well as the Mystery Bounty, the Niners, and the Closer. All featured dynamic structures that maintained a high level of competition from the first day to the end of the festival.
With this edition, Casino Marbella reaffirms its commitment to poker and to organisng benchmark events, establishing SIXERS as a must-attend occasion for both regular players and newcomers. The strong turnout and participation clearly show that SIXERS continues to grow, already looking ahead to future editions with high expectations.
Beyond its sporting impact, the SIXERS 2026 Festival has also had a very positive effect on local tourism. Casino Marbella has helped boost the local economy by attracting players from across the country, many of whom stayed in hotels in Marbella and the surrounding areas for several days. The event has offered the city a different, modern, and high-quality leisure option, strengthening its position as a destination capable of hosting experiences beyond traditional tourism.
The fourth season of the Sportium Sixers Poker Series continues, with its next stop scheduled at Casino Cirsa Tangier from June 2 to 7.
